There is a new daily PvP mission in the Ker'rat system warzone, the one with the borg repair hulks. The mission isn't any thing special, I did it a few times leveling, the good thing about the map is that the Klingons have access to the same map. Some of them attacked while I was with a group doing the missions. It ended up being a lot more fun then any ship PvP I've done so far and I suck around for about an hour after my mission was done just fighting.

Oh man that sounds awesome. I'll have to give it a try. Is it tiered level wise or is not a good idea for a commander to poke around there?

I guess it's tiered. I haven't seen anyone in there that wasn't an admiral, but it probably isn't a daily until you make admiral so you can get Marks of Honor.

Ah thats cool. I got enough of the commander PvP marks to get a new doctor kit. I'm not sure how much I like it yet.

My old kit had (medic): Lots of raw healing
Direct heal
Heal over time
Group direct heal

The new kit has (physician): a mix of buffs and healing but looooong cooldowns
Kickass physical buff
good everything else buff
better heal over time
group reactive heal (the nanite monitor)

The new kit focuses a bit more on prevention which helps with those expose/exploit combos the premades are doing. The buffs are kickass but I can only really keep them on *maybe* two people more like 1.5 people. Everything on the new kit has long cooldown timers. Its also missing the "medical tricorder" the big single target direct heal from before. I am not sure how awesome the nanite monitors. Its a group reactive heal on a REALLY long cooldown. If the cooldown was more like 15 seconds instead of 60 seconds I'd be so down with this kit. The buffs are just amazing. I carried a mark 3 physician kit (just the buffs and the hot) in the Lt. Cmdr bracket for when I did solo PUG pvp as I would just buff and hot myself and turn into a nearly unkillable tank. I might continue to do that as a commander and just keep the nanite monitor up as much as I can.

Being a commander 2 is a big step down from being an Lt. Cmdr 10 as far as PvP goes. I used to wade into combat before and now I have to keep shields at 100% just to stay alive. The science team 3 makes me top out the "heal" parse in space every time no problem. But having big ground heals doesn't seem to be as helpful on the ground so I am starting to shift my focus to prevention. The ground players are definately much smarter in the commander bracket and there are oceans of people using expose/exploit combos.
