So I think that aiming using a controller is not as good as a mouse. NOTE: All console games have a slight "auto correct" to them. Even PC games when they detect a controller attached have an "auto correct". If you want to try playing without auto correct try software like pinnacle and have it map your right control stick to your mouse and try playing. DRASTICALLY different effect.

I agree with both of the above statements. Controllers not only offer less precision, they offer less options. The only thing a console has over a PC when it comes right down to it, is you know that the hardware on the consoles is going to be pretty much the same across all of them, and that there is less of a chance that the software is doing something funky or anything else is using up too many resources.

I agree with the artical prettymuch... other then the fact that he used Eve as a reference in an artical talking about control and precission. Eve is a mental skill game It does not require hand Eye coordination and rapid mouse velocity. I had a harder time not making the same comment on the quality of writters since the advent of the internet. Since clearly the same could be said about Newspaper and magazine reporters vs. Bloggers such as he.

Honestly, and in all fairness, the quality of gamer has gone down over the course of time. It could be argued it was because nerds played computer games at the beginning and it was considered less cool. We were a very intelligent crowd though, and did find the need to hack and found pride in working for something in a game. Remember when Epics were "epic" like original EQ, not something you got from a collectors edition digital release? when the item collor wasn't Purple?... fuck purple is to common! we need to make one higher now.. how about orange! Ever try to get a common drop these days? Crap.. they are hard to find. they go for bank on the brokers yet rares go for pennies on the dollar.

I've played FPS games for a long, long, long, long time- Starting on the PC. What have I learned? Playing with a keyboard + mouse = over-the-top easy. Playing on a controller is tough, even now that I've been doing it for years. It's point and click vs. drag and pull. It's completely different.

So do you think there is a future in making a common link between PC and Console players? To have them playing in the same match of Rainbow Six or Modern Warfare 2?

I'm kinda asking for duel platform games coming like Agency (PS3 and PC) and DCUO (PS3 and PC) do you think there should be seperate servers for PS3 and PC players or should they play on the same server?

Yup in EVE a good headset and Voice Chat beats a good controller... Of all the PvP techniques I learned in my time in Agony Unleased, there was only one that depended on Manual flying. Granted anyone who could both master that and use it effectively was pretty tough to beat, but you did have to have the proper ship to ship match up...

Ahh EVE how I miss thee... When oh When will we have walking on stations.

I think it should be an option. Maybe when you're filtering your game types in your search you could choose "cross-platform servers only" or "no cross-platform servers". Seems easy enough of a solution.

I think that even though the keyboard and mouse are much better controllers than a console controller will ever be but they can still have shared servers. More developers need to do what UT did and give their games keyboard/mouse support on consoles.
