The single ship combat module to test combat mechanics launched for Star Citizen last night. This marks the 2nd major milestone, the first being the hanger module. We now have an XvT (x-wing vs. tie fighter) style game to play while they work on the PU (persistant universe). was a little late in comming but as they have an open development we see real time all the mistakes and successes of this company which is great.
Here's to much excitmentOH, and they have set HOTAS support for x-52 pro, x-55, Thrustmaster Warthog, and joystic suport for the microsoft joystick and a game controller... manual here:
We have approximatly one week until the head start of the next great mediocre MMO to hit the market. Elder Scrolls Online promises to fill the void of nothing worth playing at the moment so why not! Providing players with better then average artwork and a step backwards in resource collection. It retains three faction PVP as it has been since DAOC, Warhammer, and Guildwars 2; albiet within a slightly larger sandbox. If clicking glowing sprites isn't your thing some of the more positive features would be its call back to the Star Wars Galaxies class/skill system. While providing an interesting Race/class character creation, ESO offers you a bit more flexability in your weapon choice and the abilities on your bar. The ability to morph your skills to be slightly different then other people is intriguing (unless of course your a power gamer in which case you will still be a cookie cutter bow wielding sorcerer).
Pre-ordering is a must if you plan to play with your friends, as the pre-order bonus gives you the ability to play any race in any faction. Without it you are stuck playing one of the 3 races assigned to your alliance. So please remember to pre-order if you plan to play with us and of course sign up on the forums if you want to know which side we're playing. Grind through the predictabile story line with illusions of choice which don't actually impact your character, and join us in the pvp area! Don't forget to spend your attribute points as you skill up, and of course upgrade your horse every day to achieve your effiencey quotant medal.
Who knew we would finally get into the 2000's with a more updated look and site layout! Stay posted to see what exciting things we do to this site. Thank you Brath for doing some backend work for us to get this thing moving in a forward direction. I missed the days where I was able to post a WordPress blog from my phone. With that said it should be a few weeks before we actually finish this process. As you can see from the slideshow above we have lots to look forward to in the next few years!
It may have been a long time in coming but I believe crowdfunding may save the MMO genre from the tombs it's been lying dead in for the last few years. With this reformat will come a few changes, most notably the addition of our Airsoft community's homepage. However, we had some struggles with the Guildwars 2 release that should be addressed. So we will be tightening our belt and focusing more on what we do best and that is PvP.
Starting December this year we have lots lined up reaching into 2015 that looks promising. Let's get rid of the mothballs that have been collecting dust since 1997 and and prep for some games of skill that are in the future!
